Bachelor of Education
Bachelors of Education,popularly referred as B.Ed., is a two-year full-time degree course that is essential for candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in teaching and other related fields.
B.Ed is mandatory for all those who want to teach in primary and secondary schools.
National Council for Teacher Education is a statutory body which delegates and regulates programmes in teaching across the country.
Eligibility Criteria: UP B.Ed JEE eligibility criteria are:
A- Candidates belonging to General and Other Backward Class (OBC) should clear graduation or post-graduation from a recognised university with at least 50 percent aggregate marks.
B- Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) category should clear graduation or post-graduation from a recognised university. However, there are no criteria for minimum marks.
C- Candidates with a BE/BTech degree having Maths and Science as main subjects should secure at least 55 per cent aggregate marks.
